The Pre-Season is over!! Week 1 Preview
Welcome Blood Bowl fans, to the inaugural season of the Dauntless Blood Bowl league!!
We are pleased to announce that the schedule for the first season has be posted, and there looks to be many compelling matches for the 1st week of the season as well as a couple mis-matches. What is different this year are contenders from leagues across the country have united under the DAL banner to finally decide bragging rights and claim the Overlord Trophy for season one.
Let's introduce the newest competitors to the DAL crown; and all the teams from rival leagues trying to test their mettle.
Representing the far deserts of the west and the Sun Devil League come the only infamously known passing Chaos Dwarf team the "Uzkalak Flying Toros". With them are the Skaven of the "Border Princes" and finally the Stout men of Bretonnia...the "Paladin Playmakers"
From the dark and stormy Northern Wastes League arrives the blood thirsty-Khorne loving "the Brass-Citadel Berzerkers"! The only other team who were hardy enough to make the perious trip south from the Chaos wastes was the leagues southern most tribe.. da "Southside Squigs" Orc tribe.
From the C.A.G.E league, the representatives "permitted" to go, all happened to be Elves. In a notoriously biased league; the pointed ear ones ahem "out-voted" their other league clubs to show the DAL league that only one race reigns supreme.. and they aren't dwarfs. The dark elf side "Night Court", joins the fancy Pro elf team; the "Raging Pompadours" and the stoic high elf monks from the "Cincinnati Cenobites" to play for the national title.
Also an assortment of clubs arrived as single representatives from their respective leagues just in time for the season start..
The dominant dwarf side of the Black Mountain Thunderers playing out of the Thunder-dome and representing the Orca Cola Champions league.
The surefooted reptiles from the plains, the "Lonestar Lizzards" from the Reddit Bloodbowl league.
And finally re emerging from the father-land in Europe, and back for their USA tour, are the "Drakiras Black Dragons" from most recently playing out of Blood Bowl Tactics.com's very own "the Big Crunch"
These teams will be joining all the teams who at one point played in the Dauntless Athletic teams over the years in this momentous event.
But perhaps the most interesting and by no means last of the various factions to join the DAL, are none other than the Goblin Leege; two time champions the "Runt Runners!" Will the gobbos have enough foul play and sneaky tricks to achieve the same level of critical success on the highest stage!?

FEATURE MATCH OF THE WEEK
In the only match up between Number 1 seeds in week one, the Vikings of Valor, a traditional DAL powerhouse (undefeated last season) faces a stern test against the Thunderers of Black Mountain. Playing in the Thunderdome, and with higher armor; this could be the first defeat the Norsemen face in over 9 games.
